Liverpool midfielder Jamie Carragher has said he is concerned about the state of the Premier, claiming he has heard “no talk of a title race”.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Premier League Extra programme, Carragher said: “It’s frustrating for me because I know we’re playing very well and we are not where we want to be, I know it’s a bit of a struggle for everybody.”
It’s a very difficult situation for everybody but the reality is we are winning games.
“We’ve played well, we’ve been the better side and it’s frustrating when you look at the statistics but we’ve got to find a way of winning.”
You’ve got two games in hand against Manchester City and Arsenal, both games have to be won and I don’t think it’s happening.
“If we can get the points, that will help us.”
Carragher, who has scored four times in six appearances for Liverpool, said Liverpool were on a roll after the 1-1 draw at Swansea on Saturday and said they had “a great plan”.
“We’re on a good run right now and that’s why we’re doing well,” he said.
“The goals we’re getting have been fantastic and we’ve just got to keep going like we are and see what happens.”
There’s no talk of title race at the moment but if you look around the league, there’s a lot of teams that have got points and are not in the top four.
“At the moment we’re the ones doing well.”
